nooo my new kit

:doh::icon_eek: :headshot:: i am stupid!!! i must have left the latch to my new kits cage open when i fed them and mucked them out yesterday! i had a 5 wek old tiny jill poley and a quater mink thre quater poley 9 week old hob!

upon looking in the cages last night i now have one 5 week old jill left in the cage :shout: cnt believe it...............

My only suggestion would be to ask around.Something tells me live traps wont do any good as they are pretty young.I might be wrong though mate.I know of older ones coming back after a few days but being kits i dunno.I really hope you get em back.

yh dont think live traps would be any use only 1 kit missing thankfully! ive put up a note in the local shop so i can only hope eh

get some stinky cat food... and leave it with a bit of bedding in a cat carrier near where they escaped... fingers crossed they MAY be nearby..

 

Certainly ask around... people aren't gonna be a scared of a lil kit. and may take it in ??

 

Contact the logical places ?? vets, dog warden, police ... all these people get calls when an animal is found...

 

sounds stupid but try a lil squeeky toy around the bottom of the bushes.. lots of ferrets come to the sound even if they've never heard it before...

ty lorelei ive been trying rattaling the keys at the bushes lol he fights with em and i live in a flat lol it fell 3 floors to the ground from my veranda to freedome so unless its spiderkit it aint gonna make it back to the scene of the crime lol...................gutted

another thing i thought of. watch any birds ie crows maggies making a racket nearby. When my ferts are in the court the b*****ds dont half flock round.Alas i live in a built up area ;(

 

yeah i was runnin about mad listenin to gulls makein a rackit but no joy!

 

and yes kay lol 3 floors the poor thing...thank god there bullet proof lol

well if its fallen 3 floors from the flat you live in & you didnt actualy see it on the ground then chances are its been dinner for something, al the more reason to not have ferrets on flat balconys

ill keep ma ferrets on there till i have a better place to put them!!! where they wont get stolen by the many :censored::censored::censored: arround here :realmad:

A little kit probably wouldnt survive falling 3 floors. I expect it was taken off dead of badly injured by something

It would suprise you just waht a fert can handle.There hardy wee buggers.As for keeping them on a veranda.If i was in your situation and lived in a flat.I would use the veranda aswell.Only i would make sure i locked the door lol...Hey matey accidents happen we all do it.
