Sam H 80
Im new to ferreting (just been into shooting but finding i want to try my hand at everyting) anyway everyone keeps telling me to keep handling it which i have been doing but it still keeps niping at me. Im not worried at the minute but itl be a dfferent story when it gets larger. Am i annoying it handling it to much? will it grow out of it? Cheers Quote Link to post
Dan_Jones 7
ive just got 2 jill kits and they are starting to grow out of it already i just think they get scared of there new owner. when they nips poke your finger further into there mouths and they will think im not doing that again ... sounds silly but works wonders also fill them up with meat before handling them or pick him up and feed him from your hand and he will understand your not a threat. Hob&Jill 258
When it nips you gently push your finger into ithe back of its mouth, it will open its mouth and let go. Keep offering up your fingers and repeat the process until it gets the idea, works well for me. Infact its the only way that I have found works really. Quote Link to post
