Guest SHOT
ruined bye show this isnt directed at you alone but anyone of the same mind... how can showing ruin a breed?? i personally dont like the idea of showing any dog,its never grabbed me and ive never been to a show but for me the blame lies with the lads that own the blood in the first place before it fell into wrong hands, bad judment.. not knowing who there giving pups to(not bothered as long as the moneys in) or not knowing who there buying from. if everyone was true to what they spout and keep working/sharing dogs amongst there own. as distastefull as it is it shouldnt matter to folk that work dogs that theres another species out there that breed for money and show. Guest whitser
i would sat theres an odd one around still doing a bit. working cover or as a draw dog. the irish terrier is still used to breed lurchers. but as a rule you wont find one. Quote Link to post
adeyhawk1970 0
I saw some pictures of an irish terrier in the US that had been used to catch and kill coyotes that had been trapped on a drag line. Now i no airedales are used for this but the airedale is a lot bigger than the irish terrier.
