ruined bye show

this isnt directed at you alone but anyone of the same mind...

how can showing ruin a breed??

i personally dont like the idea of showing any dog,its never grabbed me and ive never been to a show but for me the blame lies with the lads that own the blood in the first place before it fell into wrong hands, bad judment.. not knowing who there giving pups to(not bothered as long as the moneys in) or not knowing who there buying from.

if everyone was true to what they spout and keep working/sharing dogs amongst there own.

as distastefull as it is it shouldnt matter to folk that work dogs that theres another species :D out there that breed for money and show.

its not the showing that ruinns breeds its the people that get hold of the breed and start breeding for looks instead of working instinct,iv even seen boarder terriers with noses so short they look more like pugs these days.

the way i see it ooty is if you have good dogs and you breed from them you hand one or two pups over to some doughnut he breeds f**k out of them and shows the arses off them etc etc its your own fault ooty :victory:

Gassy and Gameless buggers how long since they where used for work ?Lads where digging westies when the KB was working.Like getting their own way from what i heard by those who tried them but made excellant high jumpers when the pressure was on.My mate had a goodish one about 40 years ago but was nothing in comparison to a proper dog.
