went out for walk today...to walney island ( off barrow-in-furness)

came across these fish ( dog fish) first pic is of the best one ( approx 26" nose to tail)....the others where floating in pools or had been partly eaten by the gulls......they where roughly on the high water mark...there was 23 in total...i presume they had got stranded when the tide went out????....never seen this before??

I saw loads of washed up fish not long ago but I have no idea what they were as they just had tails left and I didn't get too close as the dogs kept trying to eat them!

I don't know what it was here today, it was cooler where I live right on the coast but I went inland a bit for the Chid and Lec countrymans dayand it was pretty warm there, came home early as it was too hot for the dogs really.

Awww, that's so sweet :D

Was roastin' here yesterday. Had a bbq at a mates place but came home early as it was too hot for the kids. I love a nice Sunday walk with the dogs but we settled for the garden yesterday. Saturday was perfect tho, walked the dogs and sprogs out into the countryside, and went paddling in a creek - that was fun, kids down to their skivvies, dogs looning around in the water and me getting a sunburn
