now i got my rifle ive really just been using it as .22lr but ive fitted the 17hmr barrel to it and i really cant get the best out of the round with only a 3-9x magnification scope , ive been looking at either a mtc viper or mamba, nighteater or a hawke nite eye , i dont want to spend too much £200 tops

how about a simmons 6.5x20x50. you can get them for the usa for 100 pound.

Falcon 4.5-18x56. Mine has reliable adjustments and good optics. MTC has pretty good optics too but the adjustments on mine weren't great.

The Falcon is 200 from opticswarehouse and allows you to zero for the 22, make a note of it, and then zero for the HMR.

i see you mention that you can note down zeros for .22 and .17hmr but with a objective lens as big as 56mm the scope will need to come completely off to cahnge barrels zeros will never stay same after removing the scope completely or will they? not that im worried i may get a small semi auto .22 lr and keep the quad as .17hmr.

whats the difference between the mtc viper and mtc mamba it mentions it has lower profile turrets but surely its cant just be that £30 less just for a set of low turrets??

that is the only difference mate. i would perfer mamba to viper on rimfire because you dont need target turrets on rimfire i think if your only vermin shooting
