A lass who has a local stable has an Italian greyhound think's her dog's leg's are thinner than a rabbit's leg's, and i agree it's a pitifull loking thing happy little beast but i would say a buck rabbit could put it in a half nelson, don't see the point in crossing them with a whippet. JMO.

if you were hunting rabbits on nice flat fields then i bet it would be a little rocket, but probly wont like the cold or rough terrain, stick with a pure whippet,

pound for pound its the fastest accelerating animal in the world ive got a colliexgrey/whippet shes great on rabbits

if you dont ask you will never know ? some of these crosses are getting more and more popular and im afarid many doing are doing it just for the money , uk ig lines have several leg breakers in them so be sure to know what the breeding is behind ? also if its a line with poor dentation you will then maybe have a good season , be over the moon and then the teeth start falling out? i was very much pro working these little dogs , never seen anything so fast tbh, and im more than happy with the one i work as well as her father who is pure bred and her great granny worked too , but im really not doing anything major with her now just to prove a point , im injury free so why risk it? im not saying they cany or wouldnt be good little rabitters , they can be but be aware of the risks :victory:

well many thanks for that reply really helpfull .and as said if i dont ask.i have plenty of dogs capable of working the feild .and also have a whippet greyhound just coming up 6 months and im very happy with her progress .the one iam offered is a male 12month and standing 22tts so isnt too small obviously id have to take the legs, and as you say, the ones that are prone to break or have bad line in them.into concideration .and i was thinking would make a great companion for the one i have .and would think it would make a nice line one day. :victory:

Someone in Norfolk has been banging Italian Greyhound/whippet x beddies out for a while, pile of leg breaking waste of money from the ones i've seen around.Go on to a few Italian gh web sites and look at the pups in casts pics, the ones down this way are only bred for cash £300 plus for a pup.Why bring bone weakness into a working line?.
