skinnyrat 0
an undershot jaw isnt gonna win any shows, but it wont affect his hunting ability,i myself have a patterdale thats slightly undershot, its not desirable and its probally best not to breed from it,as theres enough sound dogs about, good luck with it for the future

Garypco 2
Alright lads im new to this site and thought i would just ask a question for a mate he just bought a jack russel to start foxing with he took it to the vet yesterday and been told he has a overshot jaw he is now wondering if to sell the pup cuz he is wondering if the the problem will affect his hunting the vet said it shouldnt any help would be appreciated.thanks lads keep an eye on it mate if its a young dog quite often an overshot jaw is ok as the bottom jaw has time to grow to meet the bite, only an undershot jaw has trouble as the bottom jaw stops the upper jaw growing to meet correctly,so in effect in a month or two the bottom jaw could have caught up to present a perfect bite, not always the case but it does happen, wont make an ounce of difference to work tho....
