when do you start working a young ferret?

Started my 2 jills when they were about 6 months old last year,put the collars on them,put them in a few in & out sets with the nets on for a few sessions.Then took them up to the permmision end of September & they were right in the thick off it & done the biz no probs :victory:

always start mine as young as, just on little run threws 3 holers and an od 5 holler with an adult until they have the odd ones bolting :thumbs: but i always depend on my older stock but bringing young on is essential :thumbs:

If there nice early kitts well devolped october /november .But if you have otherferrets i would wait till next year and i find bringing them on slowly makes a world of differnce

aye anno mate 6 months + for me as im never in a rush just wondered what other people thought.
