patterdale moocher 10
As i think I stated earlier in this thread. Get a volt/amp meter and go to the scrappies I am buying 17, 20 and 22amp hour batterries for 50p a go at the moment. I select all the batterries that I think are good enough. Then I test them. First with the volt/amp meter to see if they have any charge. Those that do, move on to the next test. With the charge thats in them will they light up a 55w bulb, if they do I buy them. I charge them on a three stage charger over night and measure the voltage of them at each stage. I connect a 55w bulb and time the discharge so I can get an idea of the capacity of the battery. Any battery that lasts over 4hrs constant illumination, I mark up and keep. Not bad for 50p. I am sitting next to a pile of the feckers and dish them out at a fiver a time to people I visit. £1.50's worth of batterries....................2x 17ah, 1x 20ah. All the best, Rabbiteer If your down south and you want some cheap batteries give me a Pm. what is the reading on the amp metre for a fully charged 17ah battery-ta Quote Link to post
