well dont no if im in right department .anyway ive been studying deer and their movements .i was wondering how dog men pre ban would take one .as when i see them their normally in a bit of wooded area ,do they come out to feild at certain times of day.

well any in the no about these beasts post your experiences pls :thumbs:

deer are creatures of habit/routine ;) observe them and you will gather there habit.

 

Ie; they will use the same tracks/paths, unless spooked or pressurised...... in my experience anyway ;)

 

 

yes i have gathered habitat and had good full sightings under lamp.didnt disturb or pressurise them .its very intresting studing them but as to movement thats where im stumped wether its a time of day thing .as i observed mostly by night and many thanks :thumbs:

depends on the area mate and if the deer are getting disturbed if theyre getting disturbed at a certain time everyday then they wont come out at that time, if deer aint getting disturbed then they act freely, deer are out in fields a lot thats why their open to people taking them with dogs personally ive never seen a lurcher ran on a deer and to be honest i dont intend to ive seen dogs hold deer once tracked when the deers been shot but thats about it, i like dog work but running dogs on deer aint my thing i would rather stalk a deer and shoot it.

noo i have never run a dog on one wasnt intending to just i was amazed at what i have been seeing .iam new to the whole working dogs game .but beleive people have in the past run theirs on them :thumbs:

aye i know where youre coming from mate a didnt mean a had bad thoughts on the matter or you done it was just sayin the way deer will act and theyre out in a field and thats how dogs take them then added i aint ran a dog on a deer as i prefer to stalk them so couldnt reallyc omment on that bti but was just answering you on how a dog would get to take a deer.

yes and cheers for that info really hellpfull ,wouldnt help me to shoot one lol closest thing ive got to a gun is my dog lol anyway cheers :victory:

I'm not saying he a great deer man what im saying is whin is a very clued up man and should be able to answer most of your questions i hope whin don't mind me saying that
