maty j 6
Bit of an odd one I know but hows best to go about repairing them?? I've been trying with a bike repair kit today and vulcanizing rubber glue but the glue doesn't seem to be taking a good hold on the PVC or whatever the boat is made from. I've looked on eBay and a fishing catalogue I have and the repair kits are about 15 quid. The boat only cost me about 12 in the first place! I'll get it pumped up tomorrow and see if it's holding but I don't think it will. Any cheap ideas that aren't going to fail when I'm half way across the water! maty j 6
cheers Fraggs'. I had a look in sainsburrys for one a cheaper version of the 15 quid kit but they only ahd the inner tube repair. You're right there M! Mind you I wont have waders on. Still be bad enough fully clothed and boots on with my aquatic abilities!
jacob 28
you could stick a cork in the hole then lash it,or go to any chandlers theyll have patches.
maty j 6
Don't think we have chandlers up here J? Anyway the innertube patches arn't holding and I have found some all purpose glue so thats setting now. If that doesnt work I'll get one ordered off Fraggles link. It's made eve more difficult to fix by being right on one of the seams! Edited July 10, 2008 by maty j
