Rhodey 96
The two jills I got from Morgo around sound growing well and exploring everything. The only problem is, is that when I go to the hutch or run they shoot for the pipe connecting the two and takes a while for them to come out but after they have sniffed around my hand they are fine. Is it because they are young I just didn't want them doing it when taken out in the field? Quote Link to post

The one 8,597
Get them out into the garden with a bit of pipe and let them run in and out of it and pick them up slowly dont spook them and when you go up to your hutch run your finger over the wire soon they will be bomb proof Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
They just need time to get used to you & there new surroundings , plenty of time for them yet Quote Link to post
Malt 379
My kits do that too. It's nothing to worry about. I think it's quite funny, they all scuttle back into the nest box, then one by one, poke their heads out, see it's me then all swarm over to the front of the hutch dooking like mad. Mark.B 0
You also want to get them out in garden under your feet and get used to your body over them ,if you don't when you try them in holes they are liable to skulk.Ferrets that are running out of your way aren't happy with your prescence and need more time spending with them taming them down.I think a full belly usually helps with taming[ferrets not mine LOL] Hope this helps Quote Link to post
The one 8,597
For the first month or two when your approachuing the hutch make a noise let them hear your coming and your sudden appearance wont scare them either Quote Link to post
