SEAN3513 7
1st coat, just a mist coat ........mixed 50/50. then a coat or two straight of the tin..........one should do.......give it another if its patchy. bathrooms and kitchens are the same.....a soft sheen tends to work best. hope that helps trader regards sean
Malt 379
I'd water the first coat down, the plaster will suck the life out of it, & it spreads easier watered down. I never bother gauging the ratio, (being a plaster not a painter! ) but I'd do something like 1/4 water. Also, wait until the plaster dries completely, (Same salmon pink all over) will only take 2-3 days this time of year.
trader 0
what would i use to thin the bathroom and kitchen paints down with as they are not water based or doesnt it matter
mattydski 560
You can get new plaster paint from B & Q. Trade quality so fairly cheap. I used to put the first coat on as a sealer of 1/8 pva glue/water mix. This completely stop absorption and dusting and the paint then goes on real quick. Quite cheap too. jmho
