Paul in North Lincs 15
the first 6 months they are like sponges and take it all in.......... then training tends to slow...and deaf ears are common!!!!! I supose you can liken it to dog adolesence. They never forget what you teach them in their first 6 months and come good usually after a month or so...dont loose patients and keep drilling in the commands......if she dont do as she told...walk her on a lead for 2 nights...she soon get pissed off and learn to do as she's told Quote Link to post
bird 10,014
Its just her age, from now till say 14months old they will try it on. Just go back to basic training for a week, and do your recall a small area. Once it knows it carnt get away with it, then you are back on track BIRD Quote Link to post
sandymere 8,263
Keep making it all fun, ie big fuss when it comes back, so that returning to call is a pleasure. Make sure you call and send away not just call and put on the lead. Quote Link to post
