The colour has darkened and he has started to wander around looking for somewhere to settle. He then builds himself a silken capsule to which he then chews up and adds wood, making it hard to see with the naked eye.....not a bad bit of camoflage....JD Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Just thinking about that complicated process awes me: and it's nothing to do with that caterpillar having a big brain: let's face it, there's only a 'nervous ganglia' driving that creature to do what it does.
