ferret and squirell

mine love it - frozen before hand or not.

 

my 4 week old kits used squirrel as a sleeping bag all last week! we had friends who shot them in the garden, so chucked them in.. cute as buttons they were.. scrambling over it.. eating till they couldn't hold any more and then curled up in the tail and fell asleep!

how are they doing? and how did you get on with your thing at the local school a couple weeks back?

oh the young ones are doin Great! 4 1/2 weeks.. no eyes open yet .. but the other litter was in the 5th week when they opened too... lol maybe its on the dad's side eh ?

 

The school fayre went good.. lots of cuddles for the 6 week old litter ( VERY carefully monitored !!) and some ferret racing that raised about £20 for the school .. which at .20 p a bet is pretty good i think... a good way to help out the community and do a lil positive PR which we enjoy..

ive given my ferret pigeon,rabbit,jay, ferret food.

 

but would it be ok to give a ferret a a shot squirrel?

ferrets will eat squirrel but bugger them try it yourself heard its good meat will try it myself when given the chance try it and let us all know regards phill

yeah we've got a couple for you to choose from ... all doin smashing.. though i think their developement is about a week behind the new litter ( a few still hobbling more than walking and eyes opened a week later) lovely lil hobs though! Will be good workers this winter...
