Foxes in snares

I have 1700 acers of my own beat to run so snaring and trapping is in full swing 1 and a half months worth has provided 6 dog foxes snared 8 vixens sanred 5 of the 8 feeding cubs . 107 carrion crows 33 magpies and 21 squirells. not bad in a month and there still up and running.

I will got another 15 snares to put out monday and 5 litters of cubs to sort out still.

wow, i ahve only ever snared rabbits for a bit of something to do in summer. all up i probaly got 30 max

Well this morning i set up 30 snares but like a good friend of mine says you once there gone there gone you wont keep catching big numbers.

 

Lets just hope i can nail a few more in my wires.
