BlueCoyote 0
there is i forget how many hundreds of acres(227i think) for sale, $3700 an acre, just walking distance from my home. its all natural timber forests(hardwoods and pines) that has never seen a blade or tractor plus some planted pines from a paper company.. its also prime pheasant/turkey/deer/rabbit hunting in this area (i know... i've seen the critters dart out in front of me and the dogs while out walking, i've also seen bear, and bobcat tracks and heard coyotes and hogs out and about), there's also streams and ponds and clearings..... the problem is they wont sell anything less than the whole package..... which just pisses me off.... $3700 isnt bad.. in fact its a steal! especially for someone who is into hunting and fishing... but my husband has only just started back to work.. his check is about 3k a month - which isnt bad, but still not enough. especially after not having a job for six months. we have a LOT of catching up to do... so this land is..... just out of reach... just at the tips of my fingers.... i grew up out here and was a shameless trespasser lol i used to take the dogs out for walks and come back and tell my grandad all about the things i saw or heard - he couldnt walk anymore because of diabetes and bad legs - he actually is the one that got me interested in hunting/fishing/tracking and bulldogs. now on the brighter side.. my cousin is talking to a Realtor about buying it. she wants to build an inn or hunter's lodge on it- which would be kinda cool. this town used to have a hunter's lodge but it fell to ruin because of bad businessmen and politics. anyway i just wanted to vent.... i'm looking out the window, just to the left of the computer and i can see this land that is "just out of reach" ... we do have permission from the Realtor to go out and walk around to check things out. i plan to take a helluva lot of pictures just to further torment myself of course after posting this someone will probably go and buy it out from under me... that would be my luck.. BlueCoyote 0
Why not see if someones interested in buyingthe land with you then its half price Mick.. thats what my cousin is wanting to do. my problem is the waiting. i am afraid that if i wait until i can afford my half someone else will have bought it and then i'll still be sitting here on my three acres in the middle of ... God only knows what sort of development project....

BlueCoyote 0
good idea actually, something to ask the owner this weekend when we're out tromping around their woods lol a lot of people it seems want to sell out right and not be bothered with renting, or renting to own. the man thats selling this is one of four brothers that were left this huge swatch of land when their dad died. it was their family's land. i think one brother is keeping the home sight for future generations while the others are wanting to sell and make some money off it while they can. crazy is what i call them.... you wouldnt catch me selling something like this... in this day and age, people are underestimating this sort of thing.
