Anyone going? I went last year and thought it was ok but nothing special.

Does anyone know if there will be many people there selling purse nets?

I'll be going .What do you reckon is best Saturday or Sunday?.Never been to the main show but simply because by sheer chance I actually for the first time in years had an urge to buy the CMW because my local garage started stocking it. Mind you I think it is a repeat of one I read about twelve years ago with the juicy bits taken out  I did score a couple of their free tickets though so it was'nt 2 quid wasted.Bring back Steve on Stuffing. :whistling:

i think we will be there on the sunday. Should be a good day out i hope, although its bound to rain!

im looking for someone local with experienced lurchers to help me bring on our two so if anyones going that might be willing to help it would be a good neutral place to meet up? Just to make it clear, im late twenties with plenty of permission and been shooting etc all my life so im not on the scrounge just after some good advice and a good example for the dogs to follow

Cheers

Hey there Paul,

We wont be there Sunday im afraid, the original plan was to camp but the cost ran into a bit more than our usual Lurcher World events. Still we are running last thing on Saturday so it gives us all a chance to go round and do the stalls.

Shame you missed the ACES day, Tyla would have done well over the longer distance, we had a few non Staffords for a change :clapper:June ACES day

Our permissions have just been hugely extended, around where we normally go, I will let you know when we are out that way again, although it may be some time for me as I have a co2 cartridge stuck in my Ratcatcher at the mo :cray: so till I get that sorted im a bit grounded and the boys wont have me along just for the conversation :11: Might be good for me to put you in direct contact with Ady as he is just around the corner and shoots much more frequently than I do.

Shame you didnt enjoy it, what was it that you felt let down by, have to say we had a great time but we went for the running, coursing and long jump, the cold cider was just a bonus. Got some video of some of the Stafford races uploading at the mo, will add later.

That looks good, Where abouts were you? I didnt see anything like that on the day.

Just the whole thing was smaller than last year, rip off prices and £11 to get in.

Sorry must have missed this post, the racing was over to one side, the opposite side to the shooting, the straight running was actually where the shooting was last year, there was a car park in-between for terriers and lurchers, the coursing was through the gate towards the house. What a shame you missed that bit, it was put over the tannoy quite a bit. Only £1 a go too.

I popped over today with a couple of mates, would'nt go again put it that way.The ques getting in total hell!

Yesterday wasnt that busy, nicely busy id say, we didnt get there till after 10 so the show had already been open for quite some time. It is a bit pricey this one, the reason we couldnt camp as we had planned.
