Just gotta check with boss!!! Should be alright though!!

Anyone know of puppies that will be ready to go to new a home in march?

Bred something like 1/2 greyhound 1/4 collie 1/4 deerhound! something like that doesn't have to be exact but plenty of greyhound maybe a little saluki as well or Just a mix of dogs crossed in like beddy/collie/deerhound/saluki. None important but i want brains and needs at least half sighthound

Anyone know of any dogs like this working? Are they any good?

If not anyone recon this cross would be good for alot of mooching and having at work needs to be calm, some ferreting, lamping, rats and of course if it was allowed(cos the ban will be over turned) the odd deer and fox?

any help appreciated!! Cheers dicky

for the list of requirments why not go bull whipet grey hound ? the size would be good and would do all the jobs you just outlined ..

if its bred bull grey hound to a whippet then it would be 3/4 shiht hound.

duno mate but i would give it a littel thought before jumping in...

its a proven good cross unlike a greyhound deerhound collie salukie x which i have never heard of ...

brains and bull dog crosses dog go to geather alot more than folks think.

but go and get what ever it is you want matye as in the end its your dog and you will love it to bits.

i like bull x but mum won't have any in the house. lol and gotta keep her happy!! i'll prob get a bull cross when i move out in a year or so.

doesn't have to have all breeds but something with a bit of speed, brains and hunting for themselves ability with enough size to take bigger game cleanly!

dont get a bullx for what you want , something like a bedlington greyhound would do the job you want or bed x whippet . Royston on here has a nice specimen look at his posts for some pics

beddi cros migt be the answer but it wont do the fox and deer as well as the bull job would . id get a bul;l cros and tell her it got no bull in it . she wont know and after 10 months it will part of the family anyway she would be a cold woman to kick it out then.

Cheers Midnight but my mummy is a very doggy sorta lady-qualified in dog behaviour and knows the breeds had thought of that but she'd be mighty pissed off if she found out and as shes gotta look after it till i finish college its a no go!

Anyone planning to have a litter of greyhound/beddyxcollie/greyhound ? cos i recon that might do the business!

or something similar ghound/deerhoundxghound/collie

You see i need a dog that will be calm and just tag along while i work(well trained lol) but then be off when something bolts not a dog that needs to be held on a slip then released each time! i liked the dogs in coneycatcher 2 or 3 i think. austrailian cattle dogs they seem alright?

if u want a dog for deer only theres better choices than bull x's if you want a fox dog only id proberbly go for a bull x , but from what he has said he wants all round type of dog , Id not choose a bull x for that from what i have witnessed others might bu7t there you go . Last iam saying on the subject because it will degenerate into a " this breed is better than that breed " thread .

Yeah sorry i don't want to start a which breed is better than which. bullx's have a little more punch than i require. if i were ever to go out afdter just foxes and deer i'd rope a mate in! but an allrounder is what i want, quick for rats and rabbits, but confidence and hardy enough to take a few knocks from deer or foxes(when ban is lifted) and have good feet

Yeah she prob does know there rep is shite but she won't have any guarding breed in the house doesn't like em!!! but i figure theres plenty of other breeds to choose from

And shaun v - yes mummy she a lovely lady!!! :p
