  1. Listen you soap dodging moron, this thread is about British wild boar, not aussie pigs. If you could read a bit better you'd understand that. You come on here and start c@nting me off when you ain't got a clue. I give it back to you and you do the usual and accuse me of not being a genuine hunter. You're the joke son, you hunt pigs, probably stink like one too, you've never hunted wild boar and are too stupid to realise that there's a difference between the two. You should be embarrassed about you lack of general knowledge. I've been out doing plenty with dogs, ferrets, birds, catapults and gu
  2. For those of you suggesting that I've just Googled some information on pig hunting and haven't got a clue how they are hunted elsewhere. I've been researching it a lot longer than a couple of weeks, I've been a member of Ozziedoggers forum since November 2007. Doesn't prove much, granted, but it should tell you that I've not just jumped in fresh from a google search.
  3. Oh and one more thing, Real Thick Bore Dog, use spell check!!! It's bad enough that you don't make sense, don't make it worse with your crap spelling!! Moron!
  4. mate show me a pic of a 400lbs boar. your nothing but a shit talker bud. and mate what are they called when there under this so called 400lbs a wild or feral male pig is a boar a female wild or feral pig is a sow simple rpbd I think we're all getting mixed up and that maybe why its getting so heated. Yeeharr is talking about european wild boar, they are bigger than what you guys in oz have which, as far as I know, are descended from feral domestic pigs. This is from wiki, not the best source i know but it gives an idea of the weights. ATB "Adult boars measure 90–200 c
  5. It may be a humane despatch thing, much the same as here. Or it may be a French thing, things work differently there!! LOL!! The next time I speak to one of them I'll ask.
  6. Yeah, pistols, usually wheel guns with a reasonable sized cartridge. Although in fairness, any calibre will do at the limited range.
  7. The boar are around 400lbs, they aren't pigs or hogs, they are true wild boar. The woodland is old, broad leaf and the boar usually get themselves into the thickest part of it when pushed hard by the dogs. The dogs used are fox terrier types between 5 and 8 couple are normally used. Slug guns, lever guns or handguns are used to despatch the Sanglier that's held at bay. A short handled boar spear was used during one hunt, which was a centenary of something. It's a village affair with all the communes coming together, there's a big feast and festival after with all the locals there. It's not a c
  8. Chart, I've just got my pal to read my post and he said that it does read as though I'm saying it can't be done. He said sometimes my sarcasm is lost on the slower witted. So for that I apologise. It's not what I meant but it's what I posted and you read it as. I won't change it. If you can now apologise for trying to win the argument by lying about North Africa, then we can move on. I'd be interested to hear about Eastern Europe, 3 of the blokes that work for me are from there and all are sporting gents, maybe they'll know where you've been.
  9. Chart, read the part of the post about how much weight the willy neasurers can lift, then you'll be able to understand the context of it. I wasn't wrong, I know my stuff. And I also know my stuff about North Africa, two of the blokes in Normandy are from there, Tunisia and Algeria. So I know a bit about hunting pigs in North Africa, turns out that you haven't got it WRONG about hunting pigs there, turns out that you're a liar! That's why you've had your final word, because you didn't have any answers and knew that your lies would be exposed if you tried to carry it on! As you've lied I don't
  10. about the same for me might live local f.o.d No mate, I'm in Sussex.
  11. If you've hunted pig in those places then surely you'd know that they're different animals, but you didn't so I ain't so sure. Where in Eastern Europe did you hunt? Which outfitter? Where abouts in North Adrica did you hunt? What method did you use? (This'll be an interesting answer!! Considering the local laws!) You've shot some feral pigs, and maybe seen one stuck but you ain't even seen a British Wild Boar, I doubt you've seen ANY true boar. Don't try and question me about stuff when you ain't even talking about the same animal as me! A picture of you, looking like Butch Dingle don't mean
  12. Are you being serious? He probably is being serious, Stabs, as he has never seen it before ! Although I think I'd prefer the .308 myself !! LOL !! Cheers. What do you mean? I've never seen it before? A picture of you besides a truck holding a rifle doesn't prove anything. I've done a bit, closer to home than NZ, although one of my best pals lives in Nelson, overlooking the river. In France the dogs we used were fox terriers, the pigs weren't stuck though, they were shot whilst at bay. If you want to lick someone's jacksie, crack on, just don't try and mug me off
  13. If I want to see pigs in the UK, they're in the woods 5 minutes from my house.

  15. He's 5/8 greyhound x 3/8 deerhound, Doxhope lines. Whin, I thought you'd done and heard everything. Running dogs at 6 months ain't what I'm about. Anyone who runs deerhound types knows that they take a while to mature. My best foxing dog back in the day was a first cross dh x gh, I got him from a travelling boy who didn't want him because he jacked on a hare, he was 11 months old!!! My dogs have a chance to be puppies before they're put to hard work, their bones and muscles grow properly and you get to see what the dog is made of. He's killed a few squirrels, he's been broken to stock, he's
