hairyface 211
just like hbg says, wait till the dog sees it, just coz you,ve seen it does mean the dog has, have seen me walk up to 10yards of a squatter with a young dog and it still hasnt clocked it till it moves,in time with experience it,ll all fall into place good luck Edited January 14, 2006 by hairyface Quote Link to post
marco 24
when i slip my dog on quarry it doesnt seem to see it has [NO TEXT TALK] got any tips to help me now [bANNED TEXT],exactley what the lads say but bear in mind the size of your dog/bitch,if you work whippets and bed/whippets like i do to the lamp their eye level will be from 20in-24in from the ground so obviously they have a low vantage point, when i see a rabbit i make a pissst sound so my dogs pull then i pull the leader back so the dogs end up being on their back legs which gives them another 10-12in advantage, dont get me wrong it doesn,t always happen on que but 7/10times they,ll do it.all it is if you happen to be out by youself with a lamp & battery, dog and a couple of rabbits in your hand your limited to lift the dog and as you know some nights you can,t get within 50 yards of them,so if you and your dog could addapt to that method you could benefit Quote Link to post
