lamb neck

i got a lamb neck yesyerday from my butchers he cut it in half i gave one half fresh yesterday and the other went in the freezer,question being, will the bones splinter now its been frozen,or is it just when you cook it?

Hi there,..You won't go far wrong with nice 'meaty' lamb ribs and necks,..and as the other members say, just feed them RAW,.no cooking. I like this way of feeding a jukel, it just seems right to me.

never cooked lamd necks for dogs i used to put a rake of rabbs in abioler cook slowly for hours and make a stew with veg and brown bread and deer lights etc they loved it on a cold nite after they had run there guts out for me, can still smell the bioler and the meat stewing, now i feed raw as i have lots of wormers cheap ,but still make the odd stew for them livers lights dried food they lap it up pasta tow , raw meat does them the world of good but when working them yopu need to watch how much you feed and in the summer as they put wieght on with all the fat of lamb etc cheers
