It is however full of crap old programmes and i would like to strip it back to the way it was when he first got it. I checked the restore point however for some reason it only goes back to february this year. ade33uk 86 Posted May 28, 2008 Report Share Posted May 28, 2008 the easiest way is to wipe it completely , get a windows xp disc and boot from cd rom on the start screen you may be able to do this by pressing one of the f keys or you may have to go into the bios again by pressing one of the f keys and altering the first boot device option to cd instead of the hard drive . if the hard drive was ok on your old computer you may be able to swap that with the one in the new computer (just a matter of swapping two leads to see if it works ) pm me if you need any more help .
