has my jill had her young?

my jill is due soon. i notest some blood on my jill nose so i checked her and her back end was bleeding. i fed her and left her be. when i went out this morning she had blood on her nose again. so i had i quick look while she was eating. there are no kits.

has she ate them?

Theres a possibility she could have done , does she seem any smaller than she did a say or so ago , it may be worh just picking her up for a second to have a little feel & if she still feels & looks big then leave her be for now , she could just be about to start to give birth

keep an eye on her tonight and check her again in the morning if the blood on her back end still there could be something wrong and the blood on her nose is were she is cleaning herself , she may well be in labour can you her any squeaking from the bed box

Normally a bit of blood is a indecation she's about to start given bith if you cant hear squeaking in a day or so pick her up and gently feel her belly and you will know if your unsure she will come back into season soon and you will know for sure

It more than likely means, that your first atempt to line her, wasnt successful, watch the bleeding, if it carrys on, see the vet.

She maybe had young and ate them and is coming back into season

If she had given birth, she wouldnt be coming back into season till next year!

 

She hasnt given birth, she was pregnant, unless she is still is from the first time. What was the date you lined her?

 

Did you line her twice, to be safe??

 

And yes, if she didnt get caught, you can still ine her now......

My B.E.W. jill gave birth a fortnight ago lost them and is back in season and back in with my snipped hob and last year all my jills came into season 3/4 times with the longer days they will come back into season some folks jills can produce 2 litters a year

Thats correct they do come back into season if they loose a litter , its perfectly normal for her to do so
