Killing spiders is supposed to make it rain or something. There must be millions of spiders killed in this country every single day Never crack a mirror, brings bad luck for seven years. Never let a fair haired person be the first to cross your door at New Years (I think, learned that one from my scottish ex-inlaws). Never walk under a ladder. Salute a lone magpie with 'Mornin' Mr Magpie' or so my mate tells me. We don't have that one in Canada. Magpies - it doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing...I got to say "good morning" and nod. NEVER TEMPT FATE - she's bigger than me and packs a punch!!! My lucky stock pin - fills me with horror the thought of not wearing it out hunting!!! Stones on the beach with holes right through!! Black cats - crossing your path - some of you others seem to be thinking of something different!! mark01856 7 Posted May 27, 2008 Report Share Posted May 27, 2008 apparantly if you pass a priest on the way to your boat for going out fishing, YOU WILL SINK. and if you whistle on a fishing boat it causes storms. dont know if it true but my uncle went nuts when i was whistling on the boat(no storm came) my uncle must believe it as he passed the priest on the way to the boat, he slammed on the brakes and went back home.lol Quote Link to post Share on other sites
