The hob shows little interest because he doesn't percieve the kit as a threat ..........the jills are just following their natural instincts and mothering the little fella..........just keep an eye on them for a while they should be fine but be prepared to move the kit out at the first signs of distress.

explain these signs of distress , when the jills grab his neck he makes a high pitched squeal , i knew the hob would be coarse when i introduced my jills but this is a first for me introducing a kit to my group of ferrets and its a first for it being a hob

i have eventually removed my new hob from the rest of my ferrets as they have managed to cut his neck abit should i worry about it , i know its common for ferrets to bite each other in play but do you think that before they have made him bleed could it be abit more than just playing? the hob seems happy enough, so im in a bit of a dilema to return him back to the court of to keep him in the smaller hutch

yeh from what im led to beleive its just them dragging him around that has caused his neck to get cut , they seem to always haul him back to the nest , il give that ago though with the jills il put the quieter one in with him tommorow
