Hi everyone,

Up until now my lad has managed to avoid damaging his feet. Even though he is used on lots of rough and stoney ground.

Out the night before last. The lurcher tore off both his front inside claws/nails. :icon_eek:

Theres a bit left on each. Obviously the toes have been kept clean and washed regularly. I use hibiscrub, and have put a 'sock' type bandage over, to keep clean.

Is there anything I need to do to ensure a speedy recovery?

How can I avoid the same thing happening again?

Any help will be much appreciated

Awrite mate! Its one of those things thats gonna happen from time to time not much you can do to stop it unless you change the terrain you work. The nails will eventually grow again so its just a matter of rest till it heals properly. There's something vets use that couterises small wounds like that but not sure what it is I'll ask him next time I'm in. :victory:
