Kay 3,709
its the same hob i am not going to argue with you Kay, ask any reputable breeder, they wouldnt use a hob to breed from if all his kits dropped dead once before Well it could equally have been some kind of problem with the jill though , so thats put that debate to bed Quote Link to post

stubby 175
oh come on, lets start yet another mass debate on genetics and silvers and stuff, seems like thats all the new members want to talk about, rather than hunting and rabbits  I mean, a quick search of other ferret forums, shows this is all thats being talked about Quote Link to post
Guest jojoamojo
is it f*ck! how many forums are you active on? there are many forums with lots of information to discuss, this section is 'ferrets & ferreting' and seeing how the majority of posts and threads are from inexprerienced breeders its only fair that exerienced people can reply? isnt it? you shouldnt be so defensive, no-one is causing sh*t or having a go just debating not everything is about rabbits or working! I am only active on this one, and thats enough, but seems others do go from one to the other, I do however not let myself be pulled into writing the f word and good repllies I have nothing against, but you reply to a guy, that may only have two jills and one hob, you dont know otherwise as you didnt ask, yet your pulling the genetic debate up again, saying, dont breed from that pairing again, rather than taking a step back, and maybe saying, bad luck, try again, but if it happens a second time with the same pair and same results THEN it could be genetics, but what the heck do I know, Quote Link to post

Guest jojoamojo
but you are both missing the point, you dont muck about with baby ferrets, if you get a bad litter, you dont ever use the same ones again!!! its not rocket science, they cant pick the local stud in the bar! its not the same genetic debate, are they silver? i dont know and its irrelevant when you have a whole litter of dead babies, thats not common, if i were breeding randomly i would appreciate information, then go and look it up for myself! but i would also go to a vet with a sick jill i keep saying, there is no need for nasty digs, its just a forum, i have no beef with anyone but if you have threads like this and babies dying then expect a little criticism, again its why pet owners and workers disgaree alot, i am sure you could all teach me a thing or 2 about ferrets Quote Link to post
Guest jojoamojo
well. we could go round for weeks here, the simple fact is me and you will never agree, you are contrary to the Nth degree, so even if science proved me right, i would be wrong in your eyes like i say, ask any reputable breeder Quote Link to post
Guest jojoamojo
but there are obvious reasons not to risk ill babies! well to anyone responsible Quote Link to post
