Guest adamc
Hey huntsman270 I sent you a PM. The hunting is really good this year in Australia with some really big stags being taken over hounds. I'm running 3 bloodhounds at the moment and I took a nice stag myself over a mixed beagle bloodhound pack on the opening weekend of the hound season.Pic below. Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
Western aus. is very restrictive on firearms and hunting.NSW would be my choice.Deer, pigs, rabbits, foxes, goats, ducks, quail, hare are available to hunt along most of eastern Australia. For deer hunting in Victoria we can only hunt with a pack size of no more than 5 hounds per hunt.Lots of hunting of pigs with dogs in NSW and Queensland and Northern territory.Fox hunting packs in Victoria,South auastralia not too sure about anywhere else. unfortunately adam is right, however western australia is 1/3 of australia in total, so is a lot of area to run around in... a lot more then any nosey f****r can keep an eye on anyway lol Hi Disturbed, i was just wondering what you are allowed to hunt in WA with dogs and also with guns? Should be moving there early next year, but will have to play by the rules or could find myself deported. I'd be mostly interested in taking rabbits, the odd fox and if possible deer. Is the southern corner of WA a good hunting area? Cheers Quote Link to post

Cheers rabbits, rats, foxes, pigs legally think down the south corner you'll find plenty of foxes, rabbits and pigs not sure about rats, i never see them, but i dont really look for them kangaroos can be shot legally, but under special circumstances not sure about deer down there, i wouldnt be suprised if there are quite a few running around, just dont hear of them mate like i said, its a very very very big place, just look how big it is on a map, and there are not heaps of ppl here, so chances of running into authorities are very small, especially rural areas Edited July 21, 2006 by DiStuRBeD Quote Link to post

On my last trip down there to Queensland we did a bit of treking in the mountains near Brisbane, our guide said the pigs have developed into a kind of sub-species, a bigger more powerful beast than elsewhere in the world. Thanks again. Quote Link to post
