Good news jamie,

Foxy will have to keep one eye over his shoulder with that beast, my lamping buddy has one and it is almost guaranteed one shot kill, they tear to shreds.

Are you going to put a mod on it? And what are you planning on getting?

Regards

hi mate :) i plan on modding it to keep the noise down abit as i hear there very loud unmodded :D

im going to get a ase compact mod for it as i think there very good and well built. the only downfall is the rifle is going to be long as the barrel on the rifle im going for is about 25 to 26 inchs. so a 5 inch mod on that is going to take it around 30inchs overall which is abit long. i could have a over barrel mod but im not to keen on them as there big and heavy and look bulky. saying that i dont shoot out of a 4x4 with it so it being long dont matter really.

as for the rifle im going for a ssg or the one i have my eye on the most is a winchester stealth which are had to find now. ive been doing reading on them and have been speaking to a guy that had one and he said it was the best out the box rifle he had shoot. and he has had sako, tikka to so i guess t sounds good. ive found one and the guy has offered to do it cheap then what its up for and screwcut it for me so thats good. the rifle is brand new in box which what ive read is very hard to find now as there no longer made. i will tweak the trigger abit and get a set of mounts and put my bushnell elite on it 6x24x50  im going to do abit of long range shoting to with it on my farm as i can go out to 500 yards for some good fun on bloons :boogie:

It sounds like you have it all thought out.

Both rifles look good(google'd them), if not a bit long but as long as you are comfortable with it, you could always Bi-pod it.

The calibre is loud with and without a mod! but the good thing about putting a mod on it is the lack of muzzle flash at night so you can see the fox drop(and they will!).

I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting the calibre and certainly has the stopping power, do you plan to reload? the Remington 50gr Accutips my buddy uses are something like £1 a round, bloody expensive balloons!

mite reload in the future mate. but for now i will use factory ammo. as i wont use the rifle that much anyway it wont work out to dear plus factory ammo is more then accurate in them. ive seen a savage rifle a guy i no has to for sale it does 1/4 to 1/2 inch with factory ammo !! which is mad really. he said it took him ages to beat the factory round when reloading for it. its for sale at 500 pound with rings, bases, its screwcut, and has a lovely after market stock on it which cost abit so i mite go for that after all its accuracy that i want regardless of make. he is only selling as he is having a 243 built. he has had a fox at 360 yards with it so the gun shoots well. but i guess he is a good shot to :whistling:

Nice one Jamie,I've got a space on my ticket for a 22.250 ,so I will be joining you soon mate.Just for info though the T8 mod(over barrel) is lightweight mate, and, once you get round the size of it,it is a good mod.You could always get the chap to have the barrel shortened and then screwcut, that would help with the length.Have a word with Baldie,he will give you some good advice. All the best with it and lets be seeing some pics of some of your quarry..............Martin. :clapper:

could do mate but baldie said he would take any lenght of the barrel of a 22/250 as it would lose fps and thats the point of having it over 223 in the 1st place. i will see hoe it go's what you thinking of getting ?
