Guest Ditch_Shitter
all the birdys are getting busy now ditch my robins are on eggs DS, The date is on the top 2 pictures Ye know, lads; That Really woke me up! I'm so out of the loop here that it simply doesn't occur to me that the calander now calls this April! I'm just going by the weather. And, to me, the weather says early March still Fact that the shots were taken back in earlier March underlines what I was on about. Mistle's nest earlier than most. I must have a heap of birds nesting round here right now then? Just haven't had time to think about it, let alone try to spot them. Guess my Spotted Flycatchers will be back presently? That'll be a treat, as ever!

Guest Ditch_Shitter
more of hope than guess d/s the way things are going with s/flycatcher [never see one last year] Really? I've had a fair few about each summer now. Last year I had the time to observe then and took photo's of the eggs and fledglings. Showed them on here. They get down in the abandonned cattle stall here and I sneak a watch of them from the biar window

Guest Ditch_Shitter
Collared doves - Dont know if they have made it to ireland yet, anybody enlighten me. Never yet seen or heard one in Co. Leitrim, mate. Though there's few enough Wood Pigeon here (Blackbirds, eg. are more common) and I've ver yet seen a Feral Pigeon either In fact, the commonest birds on the streets of my local town are by far the Jackdaws. They sort of replace Starlings here / there. Pied Wagtails are the pavement patrollers. Out here in the sticks? Chaffie's and Robins are most numerous, year round.
