Adam-RunningDog 1
I bet i am really doing your head in with all these Topics i am doing. But the thing is i am so excited to get this new rifle tomorrow my first PCP, i am getting the Air arms S410 TDR, I have shot them in the past and they are amazing just cant wait to get one for myself so i was wondering...just to make it perfect what would be the perfect pellets for hunting for this rifle at the moment i am using field target trophy and they are really small and are a good hutning pellet by my eyes but up the road there is a guy with an Air Arms and wont put anything else through it apart from the air arms pellets so i was wondering what do you lot the experts think i should use for hunting Thanks Adam Edited April 3, 2008 by Adam-RunningDog Quote Link to post
andy s410c 63
I use AA Field .22 in my 410c & i find them a accurate, consistent pellet.I prep mine to get rid of the odd bit swarf, odd damaged skirt.I think they weigh 16.2g so there one of the heavier round head pellet & when they connect with a rabbits heed they make a nice whack . masmiffy 82
Air arms field are a good consistent pellet no doubt about it, and come in at just over the 16 grain mark. Use them in my Titan Manitou and Rapid MFR and they work a treat. As a matter of intrest if you ask Falcon (was Titan) the best pellets they always say. 'We set our guns up using Bisley Magnums' I sometimes think these are a bit 'heavy' for a 12ft/lb rifle. Quote Link to post
Coney 3
A mate of mine swears by AA Field. Quote Link to post
perlin 0
Try both and see which gives you better grouping , also check through a chrono if you can. I had an AA410 that put air arms pellets out at 11.5 ft/lb but accupels would drop the power to 10ft lb. John Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
Perlins advice is sound different pellets can give differnet 'power' Again I know Falcon set the '12ft/lb with Bisley Magnums. Must borrow a chrony to see what the Titan does!!! Quote Link to post
