SportingShooter 0
My licensing dept has finally succumbed to grant me my FAC. Anyway, on a first grant are the pieces of land which you list on the application form normally listed on the certificate itself. this has not happened on mine. Also, i put the rimfire down for only one of the three pieces of land i listed on the application form, but seen as the other pieces of land have been accepted can i use the rimfire on the other bits of land aswell. i.e is the land specific to the calibre. any help would be appreciated. thanks ss06 Quote Link to post
James@Scarborough 0
I have never seen a "closed" certificate, as mine was open from application, so I'm not sure on this one. Quote Link to post

At the moment you can only assume the land you listed for each calibe is approved for that calibre! However, you can shoot on far more land than you asked for, but if you find a new piece of land you will need to check with your FEO if it is cleared! It does not matter if you only listed 1, 2, or 3 pieces of land for any and all calibres, you will need to check EACH piece of land for EACH calibre with your FEO to see what is cleared. Pain in the arse but that's the way it goes.... use some ammo, as much as possible, keep some record of what and where you shoot and in 6 months or a year apply for an OPEN certificate, and all your problems will go away!!! Yep, but if he keeps his nose clean he will be able to apply for the condition to be removed in a "few" months, usually 6 months+ and just possibly be able to get an open certificate at the same time. (probably a bit longer for the Open) Quote Link to post
James@Scarborough 0
Well SS06, I hope you get your conditions removed and your ticket opened as soon as possible mate. ATB, James Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
thanks for all the replies, i hope it wont be too long before i can get the condition removed. its a pain having that condition but hey ive got the piece of paper that counts. i will just get out as often as possible with the centrefire and practice a fair bit with the .17 Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
GRRRRRRR! At least you do have the centrefire, but mentoring for 22CF gets me annoyed, in fact mentoring generally. I can understand it for deer shooting, as there is a lot to worry about (all explained by my FEO who has either whacked me down as mentored or DSC, will find out when (if?!) I get my ticket back). But for 22CF, it's bollocks. The 222 will not go that much further than HMR. OK, it hits harder, but if the shot is safe, then the shot is safe, .17HMR or .222. F****ing fascists, we the Shooting Community shouldn't take this.... Quote Link to post
