Thankfully he missed his neck, i once had a bitch die from a tree stump in darkness by breaking her neck...and at least this happened at the end of the season and not mid-season... Quote Link to post
gaz 284 Posted March 13, 2008 Report Share Posted March 13, 2008 Sorry to hear that joe as i know how your feeling bud,ive a young dog here not just two yet who stubbed two toes landing in among a ruined stane dyke at the other side of a stock fence at full pace at the new year..a bugger it was as he was doing well for his first season,just got him back fit or so i thought and lamped him on rabbits turn of this week..didnt over do it with him,caught well and called it a night early..was well chuffed until next morning when he jumed down from his bed in the kennels and couldnt put his foot down with the two damaged toes all swollen and sore again....fecking dogs Quote Link to post
inan 841 Posted March 13, 2008 Report Share Posted March 13, 2008 Went out on monday night, the first slip of the night the dog followed into the wood after 10 minutes came back with this injury. It was actually worse than it looks in the picture because it was ripped right into the muscle and was about 2 inchs long! After his trip to the vets. Hope your dog makes a complete recovery,my oldest one hit a dyke this season, and collapsed a lung ,thankfully he is fine now ,good luck!Inan. Quote Link to post

It was actually worse than it looks in the picture because it was ripped right into the muscle and was about 2 inchs long! After his trip to the vets. Hope your dog makes a complete recovery,my oldest one hit a dyke this season, and collapsed a lung ,thankfully he is fine now ,good luck!Inan. dont talk to me about dykes meself scent from the site where mid last season laming foxes call in the first killed it they where eyes comeing out of the cover every where so we decided ta call again this fox ran in sat a bit ran on again after few mins got into sliping range sliped scents dog single handed he took chase turning in an out up an down great course fox led him down the field an i swear ta f**k the fox ment what happend next running straight an suddenly veird of to the left dog went straight ta head it off an all we heard was a big howl an silience dog was after hiting big drainage dyke saY TREE FEET DEEP STRECHING THE LENGHT OF THE FIELD POOR DOG WAS IN TATTERS IN A LOUGH OF WATER FOOT DEEP SO PULLD MY WAIST COAT OFF AN SUPPORTED HIM FROM underneet gently raising him out dog could not walk and was coufing blood haevily felt sick for the dog lying in a mess two of us looked at each other get the shovel but the two of us hadnt the hearth as this was our best dog!!so carried him up the field in my waist coat an in the back of the car was lucky to make it true the night straight to the vet first thing dog had twisted spine leg injuries and what wasnt wrong with him BUT THE FEAL HERO OF THIS STORY IS OUR VET ger clancy fixed the up f*****g pefect again an had some season this year an goes bit harder on the foxes since ha....but ever since then this dog would not leave your side he nows we looked out for him hopefully i will get pup from this dog from my bitch so prince made ya famous Quote Link to post
