macberran 2
Anyone here the line on lead shot today on Radio4. I always switch over when S.Wright is on 2. Its the living planet and one off the fascinating topics was..........leadshot!!!. Did you know it only takes 3-4 pellets too kill an elephant and theres 300 in a cartridge, some of these people shoot lots in a day!!!!!!!! and on it rolled. It did mention the BASC only in as much as they "said theres no science too support a lead ban(inland) though the inference I felt was ,how could they possibly say that with all the shooting going on and the Afroeurasian agreement blah blah blah, birds being found with eight heads blah blah blah...........you can probably pick it off digital by the way. I did feel it was a wee bit one-sided And an elderly chaps closing comment in a conspirital tone.. "my shooting freind said they all use lead on duck anyway but just don't take them too the gameedealer as they know the RSPB will find out "...... nice of auntie too invite some one from BASC to sit in on the panel.......maybe they did ..can't see it . Guest WILF
Same story the other year when they forgot to rig the "What law would you repeal" vote..........and the hunt ban won. Some jolly red faces at the beeb that day I bet...............
rob.i 26
Did hear the the programme did seem a bit one sided more like an advertisement for steel shot wonder if the one of the panel had interests in the firm that produces it
Caravan Monster 323
A BBC tv 'news' program called 'inside out' currently seems to have a strong anti theme to it. Last week it was all about the evil activites of criminal gangs of deer poachers on the Welsh borders that didn' t show any actual evidence, or even witness accounts of deer poaching, or the violence toward and intimidation of keepers that apparently goes with it. This week, shock horror, the mounted packs may be breaking the ban. BBC does seem to promote a leftist agenda and unquestioning obedience to the government and the law at the moment. trappa 518
BBC does seem to promote a leftist agenda and unquestioning obedience to the government and the law at the moment. its not just at the moment, the beeb has been staunch left wing for ages. They would pick the bones out of any of the tory government when one was found with a mistress etc, but when that tosspot john prescott got caught they refused to even cover it saying the public didnt want to hear about sleaze!!! Two faced or what!
