sharonw 0
Hi, I'm looking for information about a type of ferret that I think might be called pencil ferrets. I'm not sure if I've got the correct breed name, but they are smaller and more slender than standard ferrets. Has anyone heard of these? Does anyone know of breeders in the north west area? Thanks Sharon Quote Link to post

lgray88 4
yes ferrets are all the same, just these greyhounds are bred from smaller mother and father ferret, so the litter of ferrets are all generaly small, not sure why people want these small ferrets , they do look quite smart there size i mean , but you would need to see what they were like as workers Quote Link to post

para1 11
Once again a small ferret is NOT a greyhound ferret it's a small ferret, full stop. Quote Link to post

All I was replying to was the fact that some people seem to think that a ferrets ability is down to size. I couldn't care less what you called it! Quote Link to post
olliedakennard 0
A ferret is a ferret all good ones do the same as each other! Wether they are a foot long and as big as an otter or wether they are as small as a weasel. Size doesnt matter mate, you will be paying extra for no advantage all the best ollie Quote Link to post

So their isn't a special breed of ferret called a greyhound ferret. No one's saying that they're a seperate breed, it's just a name for a small thin ferret. People call ferrets with polecat markings, polecats. It don't mean they're polecats though does it? How come you don't pop up every time some one talks about their polecat hob, etc. Quote Link to post
