How to shotgun pellets act after leaving the barrel. My coach once said it is a pattern the size of a football with about a 5 foot colum behind it.

I dont know much about shotgun ballistics and i am really intrested in patterns and stuff.

Say if i am shooting clays from the high tower. How much lead should i give it and how wide will the shot pattern be.

I have been looking for slow motion videos of shot and stuff but cant find any yet

Most high towers are about 30 feet. There are one or two 120 foot monsters possibly even higher, not round here though. To shoot the average tower, I use 1/4 choke and blot out the clay. As the clay disappears behind your barrels, pull the trigger and keep the gun moving. If you can still see the clay or you "poke" at it (stop the gun) when you fire, you will miss behind, even though the shot spread will be about 3-4 feet, depending on the cartridge you use.

Flippin ek!!!! A lot of questions and all impossible to answer without a LOT more definition. Spread will depend on the choke, distance, cartridge, wind, etc but most will be bigger than a football by only about 15 yards of travel (but that in turn is subject to your interpretation of spread). Tail is also subject to a lot more definition, again cartridge, distance choke etc etc all come into play but pattern and tail can generally be defined as a bomb shaped cigar, dimensions can vary a lot!

Shooting from towers and lead, no answer, how high is the tower, what angle is the clay flying, what is the wind speed, what cartridge and choke are you using etc etc. If you are using a tower it will almost 100% be at a shooting ground so ask the staff for some guidance!
