Guest spud.
the wire has snaped [bANNED TEXT] at the top and the switch fell to bits mate. i think its a lost cause
DDD 4
I had to replace the switch on mine last week, got it fitted on Landy roof. Strangely enough, the wire came out of the top of the switch As already stated, go for Clulite, got one gun mounted & it's spot on. I think Deben are having our eyes out with the Lightforce - I enquired about one for the Landy & because it was fitted outside, it was going to cost me £40 more naturally I didn't go for it as strangely enough they are all the same lamps, even if the sales bird said they have greater waterproofing. The greater waterproofing is in fact an extra 'o' ring, probably worth about 2p :realmad: Phone Cluson up & say you want an ex display lamp & it will work out cheaper - nowt wrong with them. Hope this helps
maty j 6
i use a nite stalker and find it great. it has the 100w bulb as standard. if thats not to your liking you can allways swap it to the 50w to double your lamping time. the spot on it is very good compared to the lazerlite i was using before and its adjustable too. i did have a problem with it once were it went on the blink but didnt know if it was the battery terminals coming loose or the wiring. i havnt had any problems since but mine doesnt get any strian on the wires as its hung on my rucksack but i have heard of 1 other lamp doing the same aswell. not sure if anyone else has had it?? have you still got a broken 170? ive been after one for a while if your looking to sell it? drop me a pm. cheers,
Irish Lurcher 1,013
What a complete waste of money, I have the blitz and it has caused me more trouble than its worth, was out the other night and the b*****d died on me in the middle of the field, good job I had a spare in the car, never again, we should built a huge lightforce fire and send the picture to the people who turn out this shit
bill88 6
Lightforce wiring is shit, but its says something about how good the beam is on them, when folk are prepared to either put up with the wiring,or change it themselves.I have had lots of lamps over the years and haven't found anything comparable to the lightforce range.I have a 170 with the cigar lighter sorted, and its been faultless so far,and is a great tool. Guest spud.
the beam it the only good point, but as for the money a 170 dimmer £100-£130 should last you years only had mine since september
scouser3038 1
the beam it the only good point, but as for the money a 170 dimmer £100-£130 should last you years only had mine since september Stick with the lightforce mate they can be repaired easily enough i've got a brand new night stalker 220 and a clulite blazerlite both with filters that you can make me an offer on if you like but be warned the beam is a f*****g joke!!! woz 260
we always used clulite.i got a 170 and the beam is second to none..i ripped the wiring staight out from new and put my own in...the 170 runs a 1oo watt bulb and it hammers the battery.as the cluelite runs 50 watt and last a lot longer....iv got a cluelite with a deban dimmer and its perfect for 22lr...i fitted a deban dimmer on the 170 and it lasted hours then burnt out..clulite are very well made
Guest spud.
used to have one, shame about the beam being abit wide tho. like you said good strong lamp. lightforce want to take a leaf out off there book. lol
