scouser3038 1
I have just bought a Lurcher which has been doing hard graft , he has scars and scabs all over him ,legs body and face.is there anything i can bath him in or rub into him to help him heal better/quicker???? He is 3/4 whippet x Bull 20" tts I have never owned a dog which can jump / climb like this dog he got out of my garden over 7 ft of wooden fence which my other bigger lurchers dont even attempt. Does this come from the Bull in him?? scars and scabs on face from bites or something else and how recent Sommat don't smell right here....... Bosun It is a genuine question , some of the cuts are fresh some are old, he is scared up bad with old wounds. its the more recent ones i am interested in, just making the dog heal quicker and make him more comfortable and less itchy. It is not mange or any other skin complaint at all. The only thing that dont smell right is your breath Bosun. Thanks for your input Blackdug i will give you a ring later today Scouser 3038 Does this answer your question on why i have posted it? If not just keep your mouth shut Why didnt you say the HARD GRAFT was ruuning through the bramble etc??? I think you need to be careful what you post could bring unwanted attention to yourself? Only trying to help you but Quote Link to post

johnnyboy28 1
Bob Grass does some good skin ointment. I'll try and find you a link. If mine get minor cuts and scrapes I bathe them and clean them up with Hibiscrub and use Sudocrem (nappy cream) on them. Its brilliant for things like that but sometimes you have to cover the wounds to stop the cream being licked off. Edited to add the link: Bob Grass Its the skincure you want. Thanks to all of you for the info i will contact Bob Grass today, just looked on his site will have a chat with him Quote Link to post

Guest dog on
first of all to the person that put up sommat don,t smell right .what don,t and the next one why post this ..why not..if you ain,t got nothing good to say except attempted put downs then keep it to yourself...i told you before johny this site is full of cranks ..you have a hard working dog there by the sounds of it ..it thinks nothing of smashing through the bushes you can,t stop some of them thorns, nettles all that crap can cut wee jet up big time nothing going to change that dog definetly the bull in her that causes her to do it..i got a huge tub of nu stock you can try on some bits see if it brings some hair growth back (i thinks it works )and then try a medicated wash my one has got t tree in it to stop them itching...give us a call mate i been taking my pup out lamping i want to show you her..all the best... I PUT what dont meaning give me a answer i was willing to help concerning scars and scabs but if paranoia keeps poping up you can forget it BUT FOR THE DOGS SAKEgo to vet ask for HIBISCRUB works 100 per cent was reading through the topic and thought must mention hibiscrub and then i see 'dog on' mentioned it, i have a bitch with bad feet and there get quite infected if not cleaned after a night out so all i do is put 4-5 inches of warm water in the bath with a cap full of hibiscrub and touch wood as i write this not an infection since, it is a great all round scrub. i first found out about it when a staffie puppy, my mum had developed gang green on his stomach due to being an only pup in a staff bitch's second litter where she had ten in the first so she washed him constantly, and it cleared that within a week to ten days. happy hunting IF ever you get trouble with sor pads rub FRIARS BALSM in them it helps harden them up do it on a regular basis if it works on fox hounds it will work on any dog Quote Link to post
