these gale force winds

Recommended Posts

Well we set off at 6pm the drive up took us the best part of an hour due to the severety of the winds a wagon was over on its side on the way up :o '

Darren and his son Mark had cassy their saluki xgrey x whippet bitch out and i had typp the plan was to give alternate runs both dogs caught well running into this unbeleivable wind im 17 stones and it was pushing me off my feet :o '

any way we worked across the fields picking the odd rabbits out and running them down.

The grass here on this farm is well eaten by the sheep and the rabbits were away fast we gave the dogs equal runs and called a night at 24, 12 each at 9.30pm we had to struggle against the wind on the way back to the motor so you can imagine how hard it was for a dog to run into this wind time and again  they had done well and we were knackerd as well at times we were only feet apart and had to shout to hear each other oh the joys of running dogs  we love it dont we

I must have fast Salukis, I'm only running winter wheat. :whistling: Mine cheat somewhat taken most when they bounce going over the plough line on the field edge. I have quite a few smallhorse paddocks on my permission but I'm working the sowings to keep the farmer happy. I can work the pastures as the sowings get up a bit.

Is it mostly pastures you run Woodga? I used to do a bit of high ground North Northhumberland, real good lamping ground.
