our lurcher (11 month old) his parent where not working, but he's showing alot of interest and has coursed a few rabbits and a hare, still just a baby really so with time hopefully thing will get better

i know a few good working dogs thats come from parents thats jacked in the foxing game but theres alot more not so good working dogs also come out of jacking parents!to have working parents is a hadded bonus mateimoa,everyone opinion differs,how you bring the dog on can have alot to do with its outcome

when they first started croosing greyhounds with collies etc im pritty sure they werent coursing dogs, i think it only helps atiny tiny bit if the parents were working but i dont think its amust it all about the dog and how much time you put in to it.

it matters alot about what greyhound you use and whats the speed temprement and its working ability never have i bred of a greyhound ive not tested or for any other dog for that matter , but im lucky to know some good genuine dog men , if you want aworker buy of genuine dog men if you want abitsa well cant help you matey and it does matter ferretman

fact you can breed from shite & get a worldbeater & breed from world beaters & get shite but the odds are much more in your favour if you use good stuff so why take the chance plus you've got to get rid of the rest of the litter can't see em beating a path to your door for pups of that breeding never mind 1 parent has never worked

You dont have to get a pup from working parents but it does lessen the chance of a dud.

id also be concerned with the stamp of dog they,d throw.

not enough sight hound in them for me,,,you,ll have a job moving the rest of the litter thats for sure.

save yourself a lot of time and trouble and buy a pup elsewhere loads about for little money.
