The one 8,630 Posted Sunday at 20:53 Report Share Posted Sunday at 20:53 About a week ago i heard my lurchers making a bit of noise in there kennel there usually very quiet once there locked away , So i opened the back door and shone a light over the garden and i saw a rat run down my garden and in front of the dog run so next day i put two fenn's in a tunnel where i had first seen the rat and a body gripper in a cubby in front of my dog kennel i drilled a hole in a dog biscuit and put it on the wires of the tongue . Then next morning i had the rat in the body gripper and i left it set in case there where more and the next morning it was still set but the dog biscuit was gone then the next morning it was sprung and the dog biscuit was gone so i drilled a bit of a leather dog chew and threaded it on the wires of the body grip and it been fine since . But i am no sure i have another rat coming from both sides of me feeding birds , I think due to it raining the dog biscuit got soft and a bird got it with out setting off the trap , The second time i think it set off the trap then got the dog biscuit but it scared it off from ??. Does that make sense ? Quote Link to post
techworm 32
Makes sense to me. Try another dry dog biscuit on the bodygrip but keep the trap covered from the weather. Also consider getting yourself a couple of blackcat rat traps. Quote Link to post
