No more historical figures on banknotes

Won’t matter what’s on them, as they’ll be all gone before too long. They’re saying it’s to make it more difficult to counterfeit, but I think that horse has bolted. The minute the mint can’t stay one step ahead of the forgers hard currency is dead. And who wants a pocket full of plastic anyway, it’ll cost you a oner for a tank of diesel or a bag of shopping by next week! Better off with a card, phone etc. so the government, and all it’s corporate puppet masters can keep on top of what I’m up to.

Forgery is alive and kicking £1000 of snides for £300 real ones at today’s exchange rate and at present unaffected by the war in Iran cash is still king 👍and as the op says it’s just another attempt to remove our history
