Won’t matter what’s on them, as they’ll be all gone before too long. They’re saying it’s to make it more difficult to counterfeit, but I think that horse has bolted. The minute the mint can’t stay one step ahead of the forgers hard currency is dead. And who wants a pocket full of plastic anyway, it’ll cost you a oner for a tank of diesel or a bag of shopping by next week! Better off with a card, phone etc. so the government, and all it’s corporate puppet masters can keep on top of what I’m up to.

Forgery is alive and kicking £1000 of snides for £300 real ones at today’s exchange rate and at present unaffected by the war in Iran cash is still king and as the op says it’s just another attempt to remove our history
