HMR Moderator

I'm out of touch, I've had the same SM11 moderator on my HMR for what must be 15 years or more.

What's new, is there something better/smaller/lighter/even cheaper?  What are you all using these days, and what are your views?

I use DPT mods on my HMR and centrefires they work really well and you make your own if you like that sort of thing because you can get the individual sections and they are not expensive, if you buy direct from him

I don't know how mine would compare but I bought a pair of Wildcat Panther mods, one for the .22lr/WMR and one for the HMR. On the .22, performance is better than the HMR however I was quite pleased with it.

After a lot of research I've settled on another SM11.

To be specific another SM1116.  My existing SM1116 was showing internal signs of wear, and I managed to pick up a new one at a good price.
