Today I have sold my Impact .25 fac and my Tikka .22lr is in the rfd for sale so it is now back to sub 12 for me. To be honest, I cannot be bothered with the hassle of an fac ticket and as I am now almost 74, I am not that keen on night time forrays in the cold on my own for the most part so just got one NiteSite left to sell and I am done.  Attention now looking at a suitable .177 as my hunting gun but no prepared to buy another top price gun and will be keeping an eye out for an HW110k as I love those guns, nice and light and a tac driver but I remain open minded on the subject of the next gun.

You know me well enough Jimmy but I know you have a special relationship with that little gun mate, are you sure you want to sell it.  I have to buy my archery gear and a .177 so just waiting a couple of weeks as my Tikka looks like it is spoken for so that helps the fund.

Going this week to look at an HW110k and an FX DRS classic, strap on a scope and test in the range or bring home to test. At the moment I am jumping from one gun to the other and back again but I think I will be buying the 110.

I did look at a range of other guns , AGT, Daystate, Brocock, FX, Airmak etc etc but the prices now are feckin stupid with nothing really under a grand and for many thats second hand so we are looking at around £1500 for many of them and considerably higher. This market has just gone mad, to pay up to £2k for a sub 12 is bloody crazy.

Well I have come to the decision that the hw 110k is the gun for me having had them in both .22 and .177 before and could not fault them. I went into the shop today with the intention of bringing one home only to find they didn't have one much to my annoyance because I said I was coming in for one.  Some confusion as they thought I wanted a 100k...................  I never mantioned a 100 as I do not want a 100 etc etc

I did have a good look at the standard length 110 and an FX DRS but as much as I like some of the drs features, it needs A mod and apart from a SAK which is a high gloss compared to the matt finish of the gun, there was nothing in the same diameter as the shrouded barrel, A Donny FL make some to fit but not cheap and pretty shit if they are like others from that company. Then it needs a picatiny rail conversion fitting to offer greater room for the mag and definately needed for the larger mag but all in all the gun finishes up around 8inches longer than the 110k which does not float my boat and not as handy when shooting from a hide.

My gun is now ordered for delivery on Friday so I will pick it up, get the barrel cleaned, fit the Airmax Compact scope on and check it on the chrono as I am taking this along with my shotguns to Suffolk in a weeks time for our holiday. Shooting, fishing and lots of wine........................thats the life.

Hmmmmm, not my cup of tea Jimmy, to bloody long for me.  I picked up my new 110k this afternoon and checked the fpe before I left the shop which sat at 11.64 - 11.68 so happy with that although I do need to give the barrel a good clean and check it again.  With this awful weather my plan for testing some pellets at home tomorrow is well out of the window so it will be sometime next week before I get the chance to try a range of pellets.

At the moment, I still have the .22 Ultra as someone on here wanted it but he has not been back in touch so it is likely that I trade it in against the 110k next week.

It was not mine at first and I'm only too aware of how long it is 

But my grandson Ethan and jason tried to ring the gong at 42 yards with out success 

Then i put the DRS to the test and rang it every shot 

Yes its a long rifle but she is as accurate as hell 

But everyone at the farm thinks it is an assault rifle so i think I'm going to be covered in red dots at some point

Off armed police lol  

Jason is a big fan of the HW 110

Even over the HW 100 

But he would like a 22
