Never been to Poole , Weymouth, as a lot of places has definitely as you said gone down hill in places ,it’s probably me getting old but it’s not the same as it was in the 70’s-80’s as a child ,grandparents had a caravan in Preston on manor farm , so unless it was closed season we were there .

Isn’t manor farm up forrest of Bowland way near Beacon fell? I’d say closer to Garstang rather than Preston Lovely up there. Used to have a ton of permission all around that area. Everyday a school day It’s just a village that got consumed as Weymouth grew to become a suburb as such , the long road along the seafront is called Preston beach road .
