Things on the lamp are a lot more cautious than they were. A thermal helps you to reduce a bit of time and to see a lot more wildlife, sometimes where you thought it was lacking. Not so much unsporting as revealing, but the stuff knows you are there, dont forget they already have NV and you need the lamp for rabbits to hold them in there seat, so its back to the lamp as being unsporting. One of the greatest unsporting tricks ever I was taught by a keeper over 40 years ago was squeaking for Foxs. I was sworn to secrecy by the keeper, but then some prick down south started making videos about it and the esoteric art of calling Foxs slowly died a death, and where it once worked like magic it now rarely works and so it goes on. The biggest sporting chance is still using hounds instead of guns imo (not including Mcalls of course) and watching the skill of the dog instead of pulling a trigger, put the ego aside and just be the spectator. 2 Quote Link to post
