We need more of this....good girl

I’ve always believed, rightly or wrongly, that we are not as powerless as we think……

Ultimately all these things boil down to money, all the virtue signalling, all the nonsense, all of it……and if you hurt the revenue stream then they think again……

Take the example given in this thread about the striker from Wolfsburg…….that club, like all clubs, rely on sponsors…..sponsors are only sponsors because people see their name and then buy the product…..if everyone didn’t turn up this weekend to the game and didn’t tune in on the telly to see the sponsors name, if they didn’t buy any of the sponsors products and do that for long enough then I firmly believe, as I have always believed, that these people would think again……

I personally think they would just back down but let’s not get carried away and claim things I don’t know, so I’ll just say think again…….

I completely understand some people point about surrendering their traditional things (like football) by not going or joining in…..but I don’t see it like that, I see it as the precise opposite, I see it as demonstrating that in fact these things do belong to normal people who hate all this shit and without us it’s nothing so f**k off and take your nonsense somewhere else……two views of a thing, but that’s what I believe.

I think we missed a massive opportunity with all that BLM take the knee shit in our own premier league…..that’s broadcast globally and we could have shown globally we wasn’t going to stand for it……but we didn’t.

Well, that’s old news now and forgotten….but not gone, and imho, it not gone because we keep missing the opportunity’s.

This girl didn’t miss her opportunity and now I suspect a massive proportion of the world are talking about it and taking sides….good !……one person did that, go figure huh.

We saw how many people turned out to celebrate Newcastle's  cup victory. Imagine if that turn out happened in every City in the UK. But the reason for taking over the streets was not football, but to protest about a single political issue. Let's say the lack of investment in the NHS. If everybody turned out to protest every Sunday for a month, we would get proper funding. Then we could move on to housing or shit in our water. The biggest problem we face is apathy and the feeling we are permanently beaten and things can never improve.

I think we have seen there is a lack of will “to do”…..never going to happen…..what I’m suggesting is to “not do”….much easier !

I take your point all the same but I think we have seen that’s a non starter.

You mention the NHS and that’s not actually a bad example, it’s one of the biggest perpetrators of total f***ing nonsense…..a national monolith almost unparalleled in the world that pisses away your money by the tanker load at the alter of nonsense…..and it does it because it feels untouchable, maybe we should say nothing and let the threat of politicians taking the axe to it linger for a while……only get behind them when they stop burning people’s money on a massive bonfire ?

When it starts being more concerned with cancer outcomes than it does with making Boris who thinks he is Doris feel like his delusion is normal, when it cuts the waiting time in A&E from 10 hours to 90 minutes instead of printing every sign in 85 languages and employing diversity managers at £100,000 a year (true)…..then stick up for it, until then tell it to f**k itself ?

As you know, I like to compare the UK's spending on public services with the rest of  civilised Europe.  We are well down compared to Spain, Germany and France.

Public  services need money, its our social wage so we can live our lives with a level of decency.

The country is broke because we sold everything off. The burden of taxation on ordinary people is enormous and there has been a huge movement of money to the super rich since the war. Something has to change. Voting Reform is just asking for more of the shit we've been getting. We don't have true democracy because there's nothing between the parties on offer.

I’m not arguing about whether we fund the NHS properly (we do!) mate, that’s not the point, the point is should we fight back against this insanity and how do we do it…..I simply used your example of the NHS because I think they are one of the very worst perpetrators in this general malaise of insanity.

It’s one of these big organisations that thinks it can just spit in our face and keep taking our money…..and we let it, we even defend it and they feel empowered to carry on because we do…….the basis of my argument is that we should tell it to go f**k itself like we should should be telling a lot of other institutions from academia to football to go f**k themselves !
Without us, these organisations are meaningless and vulnerable….its about time they understood it.

Thats my humble opinion anyway.

I reckon you'd do well in GB's women volleyball team, your test levels show you are capable of ovulation.
