witton 6
Have you got any better ideas paid? My 2 bitches are only 21in so i was thinking wouldnt it be awkward to bend down to press the clip on a quick release collar? Im not sure now  I need something but i dont know what will be best Quote Link to post
Paid 935
I, like many others, just use a collar, and a bit of rope. So I dont think there is a perfect way to do it, both have there pros and cons. The lean down and release ones are even worse, try doing that with the lamp on the game and the dog rarering to go. never tryed this style though http://www.northwindcatalog.com/slip_leads.htm So i dunno about them Edited August 29, 2006 by Paid Quote Link to post
witton 6
Thats what i was thinking but my dad isnt happy about me running them with collars. If i did it anyway with out him knowing and something did happen i would be in for it Quote Link to post

Paid 935
Got to be worth a try, just avoid this kind As for 20 quid, its no much use for nowt but a wall hanging. Quote Link to post
TOMO 28,463
witton do it your way , not your dads way , there your dogs arn they, so do it your way. as for running dogs with collars i have never seen an accident because a dog was waering a collar but there are countless because the owner didnt have a collar. and a dog wasn't under control. witton 6
I know TOMO but now he has had a go at me for it if something did happen however unlikely I would get the old ''I told you so'' lecture He went on for about an hour saying how when he worked lurchers no one ran them with collars on ect :realmad: He goes on like he knows everything. I didn’t see him offering to shell out for the slip leads lol never mind ill just have to put up with it Good hunting David Quote Link to post
lucky 578
i always have collars on my dogs as they protect there necks from bites etc and without one it would be impossible to get my dogs off it's quarry should i need to  Quote Link to post
